FBB BioMed won first place and $5,000 in the investor pitch category at the graduate/faculty Startup Incubator Summer Track final pitch competition held virtually July 26. Neumaro ($3,000) was second and S5G Therapeutics ($2,000) was third.
Eight businesses combined to win $13,750 in three categories. The event was hosted by the University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center.
Helios won first place and $1,000 in the elevator pitch competition and The Family Room won first place and $1,000 in the local business pitch competition.
