Hasken-Averkamp joined the Iowa JPEC team in June 2019 as the STEM Innovator Education Support Services Manager for Jacobson Institute. She has worked as a secondary science teacher for multiple school districts accumulating 21 years of experience in science education in both teacher and leadership roles. In her new role, she will support teachers seeking to obtain the STEM Innovator certification through professional development activities and will help revise curriculum materials. Hasken-Averkamp received an MA in science education from the University of Iowa in 2001 and most recently received an MA in educational leadership from Mount Mercy University in 2018.
