XANGAMIRA SITOE

Xangamira Salvador Sitoe is the founder and general director of Green Soil Moz Ltd, a company that produces and sells organic fertilizer. Xangamira is the head of project planning, coordinating, and monitoring the production sector of the company. She is currently in Sofala Province, Marromeu District, in the Leadership Program for the Conservation of Mozambique (PLCM) promoted by the Foundation for Biodiversity Conservation (BIOFUND). She was a volunteer assistant at the Centro Pequena Obra Da Divina ProvidĂȘncia Dom Orione at Maputo-Mozambique, where she provided support in social assistance and occupational therapy for children with disabilities. Xangamira is motivated to participate in the MWF program to strengthen her network of contacts and reinforce the skills that can help her develop the business that will allow her to employ more youth and create more companies. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Xangamira intends to expand her company, Green Soil Moz Lda, creating more jobs, engaging herself in promoting sustainable agriculture, and consuming organic foods in Mozambique. After establishing Green Soil, Xangamira intends to create an occupational therapy center through art to improve the quality of life of those who have chronic diseases and provide more jobs to people with disabilities.
