Kanneh is a social entrepreneur, food sufficiency ambassador, and the internal control system manager of ADORE SLE 1070, an agribusiness project. He has more than five years of experience in the cocoa value chain sector. 

Kanneh leads a team of four extension officers, 12 community aggregators, and 1,000 farmers from 29 operational communities within five chiefdoms in the Kenema District, where they work on quality control for strengthening the organic cocoa value chain in Sierra Leone. 

Kanneh earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from Njala University. His vision is to become a major driver in the transformation of the cocoa value chain to become a source of economic empowerment for marginalized rural women and youths. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Kanneh intends to come back and work to provide an alternative source of income to hundreds of rural farmers that he is working with within the Kenema District.
