Wade Steenhoek
Steenhoek teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship and provides onsite direction of JPEC’s entrepreneurship outreach in the Des Moines area. He also teaches for Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) as part of a partnership agreement and serves as the liaison between the JPEC and DMACC on entrepreneurship and small business programming. Steenhoek is the founder of four startup companies: one franchise and three private firms. Prior to his entrepreneurial and academic careers, he served as an executive of a leading international insurance company overseeing all operational aspects of the company. Steenhoek has a BA in marketing from Simpson College and a MA from Drake University in education. He is married and has two adult children.
