Babajide Oluwase

Oluwase is a chartered sustainability professional and the founder of Ecotutu, a cleantech company that enables businesses in the agriculture and health value chain access to affordable solar-powered end-to-end cold storage solutions. Since 2014, he has acquired extensive experience creating environmental management solutions and establishing cost-saving initiatives. Oluwase is a certified Environmental Management System Lead Auditor with a bachelor’s degree (with honors) in urban and regional planning from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria. Through his work with Ecotutu, Oluwase has enabled farmers, aggregators, and retail businesses to conduct express delivery of temperature-sensitive items. Within the last year, he has earned several awards and accolades for his efforts, including participating in the Africa ClimAccelerator and being named an Orange Corners Innovation Fund Winner, NutriPitch Winner, and Yunus & Youth Fellow. He currently advises the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS on Green and Digital Economy. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Oluwase plans to integrate his learnings to advance Ecotutu’s mission of democratizing access to affordable and reliable cooling solutions for African businesses.
