The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative. The program allows for the young leaders to grow, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security throughout Africa. Over 3,700 young leaders have participated in the Fellowship, positively impacting more than 45 million Africans. With that, twenty-seven U.S. educational institutions in 20 states will host these fellows this upcoming summer.
