Akejo is the founder and chief executive officer of Gordon's Agricultural Organization-Uganda Limited -- a company focused on providing last-mile smallholder access with vital agricultural resources such as certified seeds, farm tools, water sources and more. It also provides extension services and micro-finance credit services tailored to women and youth locally.

Akejo holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural education and extension from Egerton University in Kenya, which was founded by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture and Mastercard Foundation. Akejo completed an internship at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization.

He is committed to increasing farmer incomes and addressing food insecurity. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he aims to further scale his impact by expanding access to sustainable agricultural resources and empowering rural communities.
