Mukanga has more than 10 years of experience in marketing and international relations in the weather and climate sphere. Currently, Mukanga is a poultry farmer at FreedPer Farm, where he focuses on an improved breed of chickens. He also is responsible for training workers at the farm and providing opportunities for women and youth. Previously, Mukanga worked at the Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe as an external relations officer. He holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Mukanga is passionate about regenerative farming practices and is motivated to reverse climate change through sustainable farming practices. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Mukanga plans to return to Zimbabwe to expand his training center and empower women and youth. He also plans to make FreedPer a sustainable regenerative farm and introduce other livestock on pasture.
