Oliveira is a manager at West Tour, focusing on tourist business in Cape Verde. He has worked as a volunteer on efforts to protect turtles and endangered birds with the organization Biosfera Cabo Verde.  

Oliveira holds a level five professional qualification in tourism and is motivated to develop and increase his knowledge of the tourism business. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Oliveira plans to continue developing his knowledge in the areas of tourism and digital marketing, develop his communication skills, and grow his network with other professionals.
