Phiri is the founder of Eco-Protein Africa Limited, which is dedicated to driving sustainable solutions for food waste management and animal feed production. She also volunteers as a finance and administration coordinator for the Youth Empowerment and Support Initiative.

Phiri holds a bachelor's degree in internal auditing from the University of Malawi Polytechnic. She is committed to environmental stewardship, social impact, and agricultural innovation. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Phiri  plans to leverage the knowledge and networks gained through the fellowship to scale the impact of her work across Malawi and neighboring countries.
