Christelle Cibanvunya

Cibanvunya has more than six years of experience in information technology, administration management, human resources, translation and interpretation, agriculture, youth development, and women’s empowerment. Currently, Cibanvunya is an administrative assistant at the World Bank. She is also co-founder of Farming for Change, a group that equips rural women with local resources to fight poverty. Cibanvunya holds a bachelor’s degree in management and information systems. She is driven by her commitment to help reduce joblessness and to help women, especially in rural areas, become independent through agriculture. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Cibanvunya plans to make Farming for Change an institution that can work on its own throughout the Democratic Republic of the Congo to empower more women.
