Krain joined the University of Iowa in January 2019 after leaving her role as the vice president of international markets in the chief commercial office for ACT. Now, and in addition to her working for Iowa JPEC, Krain has joined Amazon Web Services where she is the fourth employee in a newly-minted global team chartered to build innovation advisory services as a global specialty practice for AWS clients. With three of her own ventures under her belt, as well as time with Eric Reis' Lean Startup Co., as Faculty and Consultant, Krain is also an entrepreneur and enjoys spending free time providing pro bono coaching and mentoring to early- and mid-stage startups. Krain has a bachelor's degree in political science and an MBA in international business from Thunderbird School of Management.
