WHERE ENTREPRENEURSHIP MEETS CULTURE

Travel abroad to help a business grow or stay local and assist an Iowa company to scale globally. We believe it is important to have an understanding of the field of entrepreneurship, not only in Iowa, but across the world.

The international opportunities below are made possible to students through the Institute for International Business (IIB).

BUSINESS CONSULTING OPPORTUNITIES

Through the Institute for International Business (IIB) and our Iowa JPEC's Business Consulting course, students have the opportunity to take on real projects for local Iowa companies who are looking to grow and scale globally. Students will team up with 3-5 of their student peers and work under the guidance of a faculty advisor with extensive business experience throughout the course. The curriculum is designed for maximum performance for the client, and throughout the semester, teams provide clients with weekly progress reports and appraisals and will then complete a full report of the objectives, findings and recommendations - all while earning course credit.

Travel abroad - while earning course credits

International Entrepreneurship and Culture (ENTR: 4100) suite of program offerings is sponsored by the Tippie College of Business and the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center together with Study Abroad.

Need assistance in financing your international experience? The following scholarships help entrepreneurial students to make the most of their educational experience - by traveling abroad.

Derek and Stephanie Rose Enterprise Leadership Fund
In support of students engaging in international experiences, the Derek and Stephanie Rose Enterprise Leadership Fund is being awarded to students pursuing an Enterprise Leadership degree and are planning to travel abroad on an Iowa JPEC-sponsored trip. Enterprise Leadership students will be awarded scholarship to be put towards their designated trip thanks to the generous donation of Derek and Stephanie Rose. Students who have been accepted into the International Entrepreneurship and Culture trips will have the option to apply for this scholarship opportunity. Institute for International Business Scholarships
