Luke Burlage, Owen Pullman, and Maria Volkman were first-place winners at the University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center Fall IdeaStorm competition Sept. 21 in the Bedell Entrepreneurship Learning Laboratory.
First-place winners took home $500 each, with Pullam adding $200 for winning the People’s Choice award.
Second-place winners earned $350, third-place winners won $200, and fourth-place winners earned $150.
Pullam's idea was a safety straw, Volkman wants to use freeze-dried basil as a breath freshener, and Burlage proposes a common form for all job applications.
