Student Organization Pitch Competition
How do you want to be remembered on campus? The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center wants to help your student organizations by funding the best teams a guaranteed $250 for participating in our Spring 2023 Hawkeyes Hustle Pitch Competition. Participating organizations will earn $250 for attending three training sessions and participating in a final pitch competition for their sustainable ideas. The best pitches will be awarded additional funds.
Social entrepreneurship is the process by which individuals, startups and entrepreneurs develop and fund solutions that directly address social issues. A social entrepreneur, therefore, is a person who explores business opportunities that have a positive impact on their community, in society or the world. We know you care about leaving your mark, and want your group to identify problems you see on campus or in the Iowa City area that you can provide a sustainable solution for.
EXAMPLES OF ISSUES FACED BY OUR COMMUNITY:
Food Insecurity, Mental Health Issues, Building Healthier Communities, Recycling and Waste Management
All University of Iowa student organizations invited to apply.
Iowa JPEC will accept up to 10 team to participate in this unique event. Space is limited so please apply now!

Accepted organizations will be notified Feb. 7
Accepted organizations must attend Ideation and Welcome Session on Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. (location needed) Dinner will be provided. Details for submitting proposals

Each organization must show their level of commitment by having attendance at each session. The same student or students are not required to attend each session, as long as the organization is represented.
